After designing and decorating two homes in Virginia and a beach getaway in Delaware, I began helping friends and family decorate their homes and one thing led to another. After working for an international decorating corporation, as well as a popular home furnishings store, I opened Elizabeth Gouldin Design.

While my role is to facilitate the design process, it is still your home, and your input is invaluable.  I’ve found that the best design projects are the result of ongoing, open communication about likes, dislikes, budget, timeframes -- a full understanding of my client’s needs.

My love of art, both creating and collecting it, has been one of my greatest joys in life.  I believe you should love every item in your home and this is especially true when you invest in art.  I often do commissions for my clients. If you’ve captured a special moment on film - a favorite vacation spot, a special garden, sunrise or sunset, or even a wedding bouquet - I can work with you on how to best translate this memory onto canvas.

A graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Communications and Marketing, my early career was in public relations.  Although I loved this fast-paced, exciting career, I chose to take time off to raise my three children. My need to create was ever present and I began dabbling in interior decorating and found my niche.
