Welcome to my journal
My journals combine elements of writing, drawing, painting and collage as a way to express myself. Art journaling gives me the opportunity to create something small, quick and personal without self judgment or critique.
I sketch, paint, doodle and write whatever is on my mind, as well as document art techniques, workshop notes and tutorial tips. I especially love to experiment with and record new color palettes to use in my paintings. When I’m feeling stuck and need some inspiration, I often refer back to these journals.
Above all, art journaling is my favorite way to practice self care. It encourages me to take a little time for myself—even if it’s just 10 minutes a day. When I look back at my visual diaries, I gain valuable insight into the challenges and triumphs of life and how I’ve grown from these experiences.
